FAQs

  • Yes! Texas Marigold Counseling offers in-person sessions at a private, therapy office space in Katy, TX—conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 99 & I-10. In-person sessions are offered for children ages 5-17 and adults.

    Our in-person address is 633 E Fernhurst Drive #703, Katy, TX 77450.

For those unable to attend in-person sessions, telehealth sessions are available to all Texas residents.

  • Telehealth counseling is therapy offered online through a HIPAA-compliant video call to protect your privacy. Links are provided prior to your session and sent through your secure portal, meaning you and only you have access to it!

Telehealth counseling makes therapy more accessible to those who may have trouble making in-person appointments due to commute, child care, or a busy schedule. All you need is a private space, internet connection, and a smart device or computer to join.

For individuals seeking ERP treatment for OCD, virtual sessions allow us the flexibility to plan exposures around wherever the OCD is triggered (e.g., home, work, the grocery store, etc.).

I currently offer online counseling services for all Texas residents ages 9+.

  • Yes, I’m currently accepting new clients ages 5–17.

I specialize in child-centered play therapy, grounded in the understanding that play is a child’s natural language. When words are too hard to find—or too painful to speak—play becomes a powerful way for children to express what’s going on inside.

Through meaningful connection and a supportive, regulated presence, I help children process and make sense of their experiences using therapeutic play. My playroom is equipped with a wide variety of toys and creative materials, including paint, clay, and collage supplies, following the standards of the Association for Play Therapy.

In addition, I offer sandtray therapy—a deeply engaging, client-led approach where children (and teens and adults!) use miniature figures in sand to symbolically explore and express their inner world. This can be done both in-person and virtually, offering flexibility while still providing a powerful therapeutic experience.

  • Individual counseling sessions are $140.00.

We will verify your benefits prior to the first appointment so that you can make an informed decision about what works best for your needs at this time. I partner with Headway for insurance billing. Prospective clients can verify their benefits at this link or send a copy of their insurance card to counseling@txmarigold.com.

A note for individuals wishing to use their insurance benefits: It is important to know that some insurance companies may limit the number of sessions and/or the type of therapy that can be offered to an individual. In addition, therapists are required to provide the insurance company with a mental health diagnosis, which will become a part of your permanent health care record. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions. I am here to help!

  • I recognize that choosing the right therapist for your needs is important, and feeling comfortable with your therapist is an excellent indicator of determining a good fit! For that reason, I offer a free 15-minute video consultation before booking the first appointment. In the consultation, we will discuss your goals and expectations for counseling and my approaches to counseling, as well as my fees and insurance options. If we decide we are a good fit after the consultation, we will schedule our first appointment together.

To schedule your free 15-minute consultation, visit this link and select “Request Appointment.”
